When it comes to clothes for our growing kids, less is more. How many items of clothing have you bought on a whim just to have it worn once and then quickly grown out of? All those little suits and dresses look really cute on the rack, but how much mileage will your little one get out of it before it makes its way to the Goodwill?
This is so true! I have a very tall 12 year old son and two daughters ( 4 and 2) that seem to be growing 2 inches a night, lol. Luckily, I am a very smart shopper and buy most of my children's clothes on clearance or at thrift stores to begin with. I also try to buy a size bigger if the outfit allows so it will last longer. I know many people with kids that I pass the outgrown clothing too.
By the way, almost my whole wardrobe in my closet is from local thrift stores and it's mainly all top of the line clothing.
